Delete a field and its values.

Delete a field and its values.

Removes the field from the object, deletes the value it held on every record, and deletes the files stored in it. This cannot be undone. System fields cannot be deleted. When a board view groups by the field, the call answers 409 unless you add force=true; with force, those boards are deleted with the field.

Query parameters:

  • force — true to delete the field even when a board groups by it. Any other value counts as false.

Scope: object.delete.

Errors:

  • 400 — it is a system field, no field has that slug, or no active object has that slug.
  • 409 — a board groups by this field and force is not true (code: FIELD_IN_USE_BY_VIEWS).
