Delete a tag, or retire it when records still hold it.

Delete a tag, or retire it when records still hold it.

A tag that no record holds is removed. A tag that records still hold is retired instead: those records keep showing it, but it leaves the default tag list. data.archived tells you which happened. There is no option to force the removal of a tag in use.

Scope: object.update.

Errors:

  • 404 — no tag has that slug.
